Privacy Policy
This page explains what information Ozzaria collects, how it is used, and how it is handled. It covers the website, game server and the services used to provide their features.
Information we collect
When you use Ozzaria, we may collect basic information required to run the server and website. This includes:
- Your in-game username
- Account data (such as login sessions)
- Activity data (last active time, gameplay activity)
- Economy-related data (balances, auctions, trades)
- Forum posts, messages, and interactions
- Profile data (such as avatars or display preferences)
- If you enable notifications: your browser’s push subscription and its association with your Ozzaria account, used to deliver boss alerts and tests you request. Your browser’s push provider processes delivery. Turn notifications off for a device at App settings to delete its subscription.
How your data is used
The data collected is used to operate the server and provide core features, including:
- Running the game server and tracking progression
- Displaying player activity and online status
- Managing auctions, economy systems, and rewards
- Showing forum posts, rankings, and community features
- Improving the experience and maintaining fairness
Cookies and sessions
Ozzaria uses basic session cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your account state. These are required for core functionality of the site.
Website activity
We measure visits, page views and selected actions such as opening the market or clicking a download link. An anonymous browser identifier is stored in a cookie for up to one year. When you are signed in, activity is associated with your account so authorised staff can understand how the website is used. These records contain page paths and timestamps, without URL query strings. We do not use IP addresses to match guest visits to player accounts.
Third-party services
Some parts of the website rely on third-party services, such as:
- Discord (for community integration)
- Terraria server APIs (for votes and server data)
- PayPal (for processing payments and confirming purchases)
- YouTube (when you open embedded Showcase videos)
- Browser push providers (for notifications you enable)
- Google AdSense (when Google advertisements are served)
When you use these features, the relevant provider may receive information needed to deliver the service, such as your IP address, browser details, account identifiers or transaction information. Providers handle this information under their own privacy policies.
Advertising and Google's use of data
When Google ads are served on Ozzaria, Google and other third-party advertising providers may place and read cookies in your browser, use web beacons, or collect IP addresses and other identifiers. These technologies help deliver ads, measure their performance and detect fraud or abuse. Depending on your consent choices and the advertising settings in use, cookies may also be used to personalise ads based on visits to Ozzaria and other websites.
Read How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google's advertising technologies explanation for more details. You can manage Google's personalised advertising preferences in My Ad Center. Browser settings also let you block or delete cookies; blocking login cookies may prevent account features from working.
Data storage and sharing
Ozzaria stores account and activity records on its systems to operate the website and server. We do not sell your personal data. Information may be shared with service providers as needed for the features described above, and providers may collect information directly when their services load. This includes payment processing, community integrations, notifications, embedded videos and advertising.
Public information
Some information is publicly visible by design, including:
- Usernames
- Forum posts and activity
- Leaderboard rankings
- Online status and recent activity
Data retention
Data may be kept for as long as needed to support the server, including archived worlds, forum history, and player progression.
Security
Reasonable measures are taken to protect account and server data, but no system is guaranteed to be completely secure.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated over time as the server and website evolve.
Contact
If you have any questions about this policy, you can reach out through the Ozzaria Discord server.
